In 2002, the Home Builders Association of Massachusetts selected Ruping Companies as “Builder of the Year,” an acknowledgement also bestowed by the Builders Association of Greater Boston in 1993. 
In 1999, Builder/Architect magazine selected Ruping Companies as “Builder of the Month,” the same year that the company was presented with the Silver “PRISM” Award for Best (Detached) Landscaped Project.

Industry

Gary Ruping’s firm commitment to the homebuilding industry is best symbolized by his current and past leadership roles.
Gary currently serves as President of the Home Builders Association of Massachusetts.  
He is the past president of the Builders Association of Greater Boston; national director of the National Association of Home Builders; director of the Rental Housing Association; member of the Massachusetts Housing & Finance Agency Single Family Production Advisory Committee, Chairman of the Public Policy Fund and Vice President of the Home Builders Association of Massachusetts, which honored him with the President’s Citation Award for his critical role in advancing the commonwealth’s building industry.

Former Massachusetts Governor A. Paul Cellucci appointed Ruping the co-chair of the Governor’s Special Commission on housing development, an effort to remove the barriers to residential development, enabling the creation of affordable housing for a wider range of individuals.

Serves on the Property Management Advisory Committee for Curry College.
